Gov. Inslee and state political party chairs at March Civic Cocktail

UPDATE: Tickets are sold out.

As lawmakers reach the state legislative session’s midpoint, Civic Cocktail will focus on Washington politics. Gov. Jay Inslee and state political party chairs Caleb Heimlich (R) and Tina Podlodowski (D) will join host Joni Balter,
6 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, at the Palace Ballroom, 2100 5th Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

With Democrats in control, will the second-term governor get traction on his ambitious climate package and a capital gains tax? In an interview with Balter, Inslee will weigh in on priorities ranging from the state mental health crisis to restoring the orca population. Then, state party chairs Heimlich and Podlodowski will offer their takes on the legislative session, the state of the Democratic and Republican parties, and Washington’s presidential hopefuls.

Civic Cocktail is taped before a live audience for later broadcast on Seattle Channel (cable 21) and online.

Civic Cocktail — presented by Seattle Channel and Seattle CityClub— offers a night of networking, civic conversation, Tom Douglas appetizers and a no-host bar. Thanks to media sponsors KUOW and The Evergrey.
