			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The SEATTLE CHANNEL’S long time Public Affairs host C.R. Douglas was honored at Monday’s Full Council meeting by the City Council and Mayor Mike McGinn’s office. He received a proclamation signed by all nine Councilmembers and the Mayor. Douglas, who first came to the SEATTLE CHANNEL full-time in 2002, will end his run at the station at the end of the month.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.seattlechannel.org/images/CityInsideOut/crProc.jpg" alt="C.R. Douglas thanks Councilmembers for the proclamation at the June 27 Full Council Meeting." />Douglas participated in the production of numerous award-winning programs. He has won three Emmy awards in the last two years and five first place awards from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors, which rates local government stations. Douglas also has been an active participant in Seattle’s civic life, hosting numerous public policy forums and debates.</p>
