Our website has a new look

Seattle Channel homepageYou may have noticed our website has a fresh new look. At Seattle Channel we’re committed to producing compelling, high-quality content that spans Seattle civics, community and culture. We also provide government transparency and accountability with live broadcasts of City Council meetings and mayoral press conferences.

Our goal for the new website is to make it easier for you to find and discover content, from an artist profile, to a public hearing, to in-depth analysis of a hot issue, to an inspiring feature about the people and organizations making a difference in our city. Seattle is rich with undiscovered, unbelievable and unexpected stories. Our team strives to bring these stories to life and serve as an informative and engaging resource for residents to connect with their community and local government.

The website’s new navigation is designed to help users find what they are looking for quickly and efficiently as well as discover other interesting content along the way. Our online archive features about 5,000 videos. The site’s improved search function will make it easier for visitors to locate a specific program or browse by topic.

And with responsive design, the site will work across a wider range of devices, from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones.

The site also features this blog, revived after a hiatus. Here we will feature the voices of our hosts and producers and announce upcoming events such as community premieres and programs such as Civic Cocktail and Ask the Mayor, where you can be part of the conversation. Stay tuned.

I invite you to take a look around the website. As with anything new, there is likely to be a few bugs or features you would like to see. Let us know what you think. Send your feedback to contact@seattlechannel.org.
