CityStream’s Winter Preparedness
CityStream presents a primer on preparing for winter weather, Thursday, Dec. 9, 7:00 p.m.
SEATTLE – Are you ready for extreme weather? On this week’s CityStream, see how the City of Seattle is preparing for winter; and how you and your family can get yourselves ready for storms. Then, Seattle neighborhoods have been keeping track of speeding traffic on their residential streets. Check out the creative ways they’re getting cars to slow down with “traffic calming” techniques. Plus, just a decade ago, an area off of Rainier Avenue South was lined with overgrown empty lots. Today Hiawatha Place South is a vibrant urban pocket, formed from collaboration between government and developers. What was once empty space is now a thriving community. Join host Penny Legate for this fun and informative CityStream, Thursday, December 2, 7:00 p.m. on SEATTLE CHANNEL, Cable 21 or watch it online at www.seattlechannel.org.
