Seattle Voices: Biodiesel from Cooking Oil
Seattle Voices with Eric Liu
On Tuesday, August 31, 7:00 p.m., SEATTLE CHANNEL, Cable 21, Seattle Voices’ host Eric Liu interviews Yale Wong, the founder and CEO of Seattle-based General Biodiesel. The company is an innovative renewable energy enterprise making high-quality fuel from recycled vegetable oil. Mr. Wong has more than 20 years experience in starting and running businesses. He founded and was CEO of Compass Communications, Inc., one of the largest Internet service providers on the West Coast. He was directly responsible for leading the company from a small startup to a multimillion dollar corporation. The company was a pioneer in developing and selling suite-to-suite fiber optics and one of the first firms to offer HDTV over the Internet. His goals for his new company, General Biodiesel, include promoting ecological sustainability and energy security and contributing to the local economy.
